About the area:

Southeastern Massa chusetts and Rhode IslandSoutheastern Massachusetts and Northeastern Rhode Island is a patch of the Atlantic coastline that is often missed by the summer vacationers making their way to Cape Cod and Newport. These tourists are missing a spot of rural farmland, rustic harbors, tiny towns and sprawling beaches that make up the area. Conveniently located off of Interstate 195 the region includes attractions like the rustic charm of Westport's Harbor, shopping in quaint Padanaram Village of Dartmouth to the colonial ambiance of Fairhaven's center while offering the urban convenience of the small cities of New Bedford, Fall River and Providence.

Our quiet towns offer rural spaces ideal for hiking, biking, beachcombing and boating, all while being located near amenities for comfortable modern living. The area offers many State Reservations and attractions—Horseneck Beach State Reservation in Westport, Demarest Lloyd State Park in Dartmouth and historic Fort Phoenix State Reservation in Fairhaven, Sandy Point Beach & Prudence Park in Portsmouth, the "Cliffwalk" by Newport's mansions and the culture and history of Providence and New Bedford—along with numerous town and municipal beaches and parks as well as countless other indoor and outdoor activities in the region's small cities and towns.

Shopping in the area ranges from fully modern supermarkets, department stores and malls to quaint boutiques, galleries and specialty markets. The area also boasts many fine restaurants that frequently specialize in fresh sea fare from the local fishing fleets.

The area is in a continual state of careful growth through sound planning that attracts a variety of industries to the small cities and towns, while preserving the openness and natural beauty of the region. This region is also blessed with an excellent highway network and ongoing enhancements of rail service and bus lines. This is a unique area of charming New England lifestyles, with beaches and boating, diverse industry, varied shopping venues, town meetings and public squares. It's a great place to visit but even a better place to call home.
